Yep, it's my birthday but I'm doing the giving! I actually enjoy giving and making gifts more than receiving so it seemed very appropriate to offer a 20% off coupon to my online shoppers! Just use the code 'birthday2014' to receive your discount....yay! I hope to get you thinking a bit about your holiday shopping with this offer. My fantasy self has all of my shopping done by now, but the real me has not begun even though things around my house are all about Christmas this time of year. Many of you know that my family and I have a tree farm and, if you've driven by lately, you know that things are in full swing. Hard to believe that Thanksgiving is still weeks away and we're already onto the next holiday. 'Tis our season. But I am off track! Please enjoy the 20% discount and get a jump on shopping.
On to other things, woo hoo things. At the end of last week I went to see the shaman I've been working with for about a year now. He helps me understand how to best use my intuitive abilities in the wider world through the jewelry I make as well as by doing consultations. Even though I take what I think are good notes during our sessions he often has to remind me of things we've discussed in past visits, like making a place in my studio where finished pieces of jewelry spend some time and become infused with good energy. The idea is that I create a portal of sorts between our world, known as the middle world in shamanism, and the upper and lower worlds, places where benevolent spirits hang out. It's kind of a sacred space where the jewelry can become something more than just metal and stones. Beyond this process, though, I am learning to use myself as a conduit for healing energy by holding the jewelry before it makes its way into the hands of its intended wearer. While I do a general infusion with all pieces, I can do an infusion specific to the wearer by having a picture of the person (and their permission of course). I've been getting some great feedback on the effects of this kind of jewelry and look forward to hearing more stories in the future. Keep 'em coming!
And finally, a look at a pair of finished earrings I made from a stamp I picked up at a craft store recently. I love leaves, anything from nature really. These will be for sale at the holiday market, December 6th, Craftsbury.
Don't forget your discount: birthday2014.
Until next time,
